Professional cuticle scissors STALEKS PRO SMART 22 TYPE 1
Staleks 22 1 Pro Smart scissors for cuticles are designed for trimming fine periungual and rough skin from the rollers during classic and combined manicure in salon conditions. Hand-sharpened with a rounded profile, they cut the cuticle precisely and neatly, without burrs or unevenness.
The Staleks Smart 22 1 model is made of medical steel with a matte finish, treated with GOI paste for corrosion resistance.
Staleks 22 1 PRO SMART Professional Cuticle Scissors: Blade Shape
Narrow, thin blades with a classic curve and professional hand sharpening are safe, minimizing the risk of injury. The cutting edges follow the line of the skin around the nails and cut it with utmost precision. Using the Staleks 22 1 tool, the master has a full view, does not need to strain the wrist in the sinus area, and the hand does not tire even under high load. The tips are polished on the outside and do not scratch the nail plate.
Handles and Rings of Staleks Smart 22 1 SS-22/1
Staleks 22 1 PRO SMART professional cuticle scissors feature straight, shortened handles designed for the dominant right hand. The standard-sized rings do not press on the fingers, making the tool comfortable and maneuverable to work with.
The Staleks Smart 22 1 cuticle scissors are distinguished by their light action, which reduces fatigue during procedures. They can be disinfected and sterilized. The handles with a matte surface do not glare under light, which is beneficial for the master's eyes.

Tool Cleaning
Professional manicure scissors must be cleaned and disinfected after each use. For the safety of the master and clients, cleanliness on the work desk should be maintained, and all stages of disinfection and sterilization should be followed. Additionally, gloves and masks should be used. Let’s consider the processing steps step by step.
Step 1. Disinfection. This is carried out to destroy pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms, as well as to reduce the number of fungal spores. For this, the scissors should be immersed in a disinfecting solution, for example, Staleks Pro disinfectant. Then act according to the manufacturer's instructions for the solution. The usual processing time is 15-30 minutes. When purchasing disinfectants, it is better to choose those whose instructions indicate activity against hepatitis B, C viruses, and dermatophytes. Disinfection can be combined with washing in special machines to destroy blood and dirt particles using vibration.
Step 2. Washing. To remove residues of the chemical solution, rinse the tool with water and a special detergent manually, or use a washing machine. In the areas of the screw and other connections, use special brushes with plastic bristles, handling the cutting parts carefully. An ultrasonic cleaner is also suitable for cleaning.
Step 3. Drying. To dry the scissors, carefully lay them open, cutting edge up, on disposable paper towels, then place them in kraft bags. The tool must be completely dry, as any moisture left during subsequent sterilization can lead to corrosion.
Step 4. Sterilization. This destroys not only bacteria but also viruses and fungal spores. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the sterilizer or solution. Sterilization can be physical or chemical. Physical sterilization is hot, using high temperatures in steam equipment (autoclave) or dry heat (dry oven), while chemical sterilization is cold, using specialized chemical solutions.
Recommendations for Sterilization and Disinfection:
- Despite the anti-corrosion coating of Staleks Pro scissors, they should not be soaked in water for long periods, as this will reduce the anti-corrosion protection.
- Use a disinfectant designed for metal tools. Aggressive substances such as acetone and alkali should not be used for processing tools.
- Use a special container for chemically aggressive agents. The disinfecting solution should cover the scissors by at least 1 cm; the concentration and exposure time are indicated on the product packaging.
- After disinfection, thoroughly clean the scissors of any remaining solution, as they may cause corrosion later.
- After sterilization, leave the tool in the dry heat oven or autoclave until completely cool, as sudden temperature changes may disrupt the physical properties of the steel, and sharpening will be needed more frequently.
- Fill the sterilizer to 70% to avoid blocking the ventilation holes, and place kraft bags in a single layer.
- After sterilization, check the external indicators, which will change color if the procedure was successful. Open and remove the sterile tool right before the client.
- If the scissors are equipped with silicone inserts, they must be removed before procedures, cleaned of contaminants, and put back on after procedures.
