How to Check the Cutting Quality of the Tool
The sharpness of the Classic series skin scissors is checked on a "collar" napkin.
- Prepare the material on which the cutting test will be conducted. Ensure it is flat and sufficiently taut.
- Hold the manicure scissors you want to check in your working hand. Open the tool, positioning it relative to the material as it would be when correcting the nail plate/trimming the cuticle.
- Insert the test material between the cutting edges from the tip to the required length of the working cutting part, and begin to make a smooth cut with the scissors. Apply slight pressure. Ensure that the tool does not snag and makes a smooth and even cut.
- Repeat the process to confirm the result. Pay attention to ensure the cut is clear and easy.
- If the scissors performed successfully, and the cut was even and smooth, they are suitable for use.
- If the scissors snagged or the cut was uneven, they should be replaced or taken to a service center for blade sharpening.
